‘Invincibility’ is the new single from London-based saxophonist, singer and songwriter, Alabaster DePlume. It’s a poetic cut that leans into its 1960s folk influences. It’s built around reflective, melancholic melodies and engaging arrangements that ebb and flow. The video that accompanies the track is surreal and dreamy, and sees DePlume playing a family’s beloved dog… “When I feel my feelings (instead of escaping them) I can discover that I survive them, and that I was not destroyed by them,” he explains. “I can experience this as a sense of invincibility. Where I find that I am able independently to live through what I feel, I am empowered and I generate my own agency.” The track is taken from his upcoming album, A Blade Because A Blade Is Whole, which drops on March 7th, 2025 via International Anthem. -Dan Peeke
